Latch hooks are a handy tool for assisting with temporary extension attachment and are also great for pulling loose hairs into dreadlocks as an alternative to using a crochet hook.
The steel part of the hook measures 6cm long and the width of the latch is 5mm.
To use for temporary extension on normal hair
Insert the end of the hook through the loop of your dreadlock extension or dreadwrap, grab a section of hair with the hook and pull it through the loop, the latch should close on the way through. (Refer to second product photo for example)
To use for loose hair on dreadlocks
Push the hook through your dreadlock and out the other side, open the latch and grab the loose hairs you want to pull through, pull the hook back through the dreadlock ensuring the latch closes on your way. Repeat until the loose hair is completely inside your dreadlock.
